Show Notes Transcript

Want to peek behind the curtain at a real Strengths Coaching session? Join me as I walk life coach Kristi Falany through her CliftonStrengths results. I shed light on Kristi’s unique strengths - what makes her unique and how she can use her talents to maximize success and negotiate challenges.

This episode is a conversation that aired on Kristi’s “Start in the Middle Podcast”. Kristi helps midlife women connect to the person they want to be for the rest of their life, without apology or guilt.

Hello, everyone - welcome to the CareerSequel podcast. I’m your host, Dr. Lee Koles and I’m really excited to share today’s podcast episode with you. If you’ve been listening to my podcast for a while - first of all, thank you. I appreciate you - second, you’ve likely heard me talk about the CliftonStrengths assessment. It’s the most highly respected and best-researched tool to help identify an individual’s unique strengths - the talents that set you apart from others.

If you’re new to the podcast, thanks for joining me - sit back, you’re going to love this. Also, be sure to stay for the end of this podcast because I have exciting news to share. You are NOT going to want to miss this!

Earlier this fall I attended a retreat for Entrepreneurs run by my coach, Dave Moreno- who always has amazing retreats. This one was also fantastic - there were 12 entrepreneurs, we spent 6 days in the Dominican Republic learning about business, entrepreneurship and self-discovery. Dave asked me to kick off the retreat with a CliftonStrengths workshop. It was such a blast. Everyone took the assessment the week before we left for the DR and I customized a workshop based upon the makeup of the group. We spent the first morning (about 2.5 hours) learning about strengths, what they mean, why they matter and how to use them to accomplish specific goals. So by the end of the workshop, people had insight into who they were - their unique talents, what makes them special and their go-to strategies of achieving excellence. They also came away with a specific plan of how they could use their unique strengths to pursue a specific goal.

I had a lot of conversations after that and one entrepreneur, a very talented life coach named Kristi Falany, asked me to discuss her strengths on her podcast. So we did - it aired on her show a few weeks ago. I want to share our conversation so you can see what it’s like to go through a strengths coaching session. There is so much self discovery that happens in a strengths coaching session - you can take the assessment, read your results and learn so much more when a coach takes you through your strengths. You’re going to enjoy meeting Kristi, too - she’s the founder of Kristi Falany Coaching where she helps midlife women connect to the person they want to be for the rest of their life, without apology or guilt. You can catch Kristi every week on the “Start in the Middle Podcast”.

It’s not every day that you get to sit in on someone else’s strength coaching session - so this is a special day! Here is my session with Kristi. Enjoy!

It’s me - I’m back again! I hope you enjoyed this episode. If you or someone in your family, your workplace or some other part of your life could benefit from Strengths coaching sessions, you are in luck! I’m offering a limited number of 1:1 Strengths Coaching packages that include the CliftonStrengths assessment and 3 private 1-hour-long sessions. You get the strengths assessment and then we break it down, together in 3 1-hour long sessions. By the end of our time together you’ll understand yourself at a deeper level. You’ll know your own path to excellence and also will understand how to avoid distracting pitfalls. You’ll be able to present yourself, market yourself and know what sets you apart from the rest.

The strengths sessions are also a great gift for someone you care about. They’re perfect for family members - I recommend it for age 15 and up. I’ve done it for my own family - it makes the lightbulbs go on, like - “Oh, so that’s why you do that!” “That’s why you act that way!”

Strengths coaching is applicable for every stage of life and career. From teenagers to college age. College graduates trying to figure out their unique gifts. People who have set out on a career path and realizing that they want to make a change. People who are excelling in their career path and wanting to uplevel or try something different. I also work with people who are nearing retirement and are excited to find out what’s next for them.

Again, I have a limited amount of space - the coaching package includes the CliftonStrengths assessment and 3 one-hour sessions. You get your Top 5 Strengths and you meet with me three different times for one hour at a time.

Just getting your CliftonStrengths assessment results can be mind-blowing, so just consider what it will feel like after three intensive one-hour sessions with me. Oh my gosh - we are going to have so much fun!
